👋
$ Hello

Hello! I'm Peter – mechatronics engineer by education, software engineer by trade, and problem solver by compulsion.

I love bridging the gap between complex technical chaos and the humans who use them.

About

I'm a software engineer with a focus on backend infrastructure and platform development. My work spans across various domains of software engineering, from web infrastructure to browser development.

I work remotely, but I've had the opportunity to work in various tech hubs throughout my career. I spent time in San Francisco working on privacy-focused browser development at Brave Software, and in Palo Alto developing AI security solutions at Synapse Technology (now part of Palantir).

My journey in tech began at the University of Waterloo, where the co-op program gave me early exposure to different aspects of software engineering. I started with QA engineering at Kik Interactive, moved through various development roles at TD in Waterloo and Rangle.io, and eventually found unexpected joy in building the invisible foundations that others rely on — crafting resilient systems and solving the complex puzzles of platform architecture that most users never see but couldn't live without.

Currently, I'm working on backend web infrastructure at StackAdapt, where I focus on building scalable systems and improving platform capabilities. I'm particularly interested in distributed systems, infrastructure automation, and maintaining high-performance web services.
